Where Sixminute is stronger
Sixminute observes work directly from the device, processes captured material locally and uses the prepared information to identify the task, matter and narrative.
WiseTime records the active application's window title, duration and optional website URL. It says it cannot see content inside the window. Matter matching therefore depends heavily on useful references appearing in titles or configured keywords.
Sixminute may have more context when a title or email subject does not explain the work. Test generic filenames, research, rapid matter switching and specialist applications, then compare completed entries.
Sixminute builds the connector required for the firm's existing system during onboarding, which can suit Dutch firms using systems outside international catalogues.
Where WiseTime is stronger
WiseTime supports Windows, macOS and Linux, an iOS Timeline app, an Outlook add-in and many published practice-management connections. It also offers an API, open-source library and managed on-premise connector.
Narratives can be generated from activity rows, automatically populated, customised and translated into Dutch and four other languages. Timekeepers decide what to edit, delete or post; managers see posted time, not private activity.
WiseTime also offers SSO, multiple teams, reporting, an Enterprise Data Connector and unlimited Enterprise users. That maturity may outweigh richer capture.
Which should your firm choose?
Choose Sixminute when incomplete context is the central problem. If window titles and matter references do not reliably describe the work, its richer device-level observation and task reconstruction deserve a direct test. It also fits firms expecting a tailored connection and processing arrangement around their existing technology.
Choose WiseTime when cross-platform support, published connectors, multilingual narratives and enterprise administration matter most, particularly when documents and emails contain recognisable matter references.
Run both on representative days and score duration, correct matters, narrative edits, missed activities and posting into billing.
